Now I know the UConn Huskies football team will be taking on the South Florida Bulls on Saturday night at 7 p.m. but maybe at commercials and halftime you can check out the 2012 Arizona Fall League Rising Stars Game on MLB Network or MLB.com.

Well you can get a chance to check out two former UConn baseball players who were chosen to participate in the game, George Springer and Nick Ahmed..
Springer, who is a member of the Houston Astros organization, is playing for the Mesa Solar Sox. In 14 games for the Solar Sox, he is hitting .250 with one home run, eight RBIs and one stolen base.
Ahmed, who is a member of the Atlanta Braves organization, is playing for the Phoenix Desert Dogs. In 11 games for the Desert Dogs, Ahmed is hitting .326 with one home run, nine RBIs and four stolen bases.
