The rumors surrounding Jason Bartlett continue to grow and two more teams have been mentioned, San Diego and Cardinals. Both teams need a veteran glove that can also swing a good bat. San Diego needs any kind of offense they can get out there. The Cards are also in the market for a bat after trying out multiple players at short stop last season, there is also the chance that a team could move Bartlett to second base as well.
Marc Topkin of the St. Pete Times believes that Bartlett will be long gone before Spring training and I tend to agree with his assessment. Brignac is more than ready to take over the spot so the Rays can get a player back in the deal it will be an easy trade for them, stay tuned for more.
