Detroit Tigers DH, Delmon Young, was back in a New York City court room on Thursday. A report from the Detroit Free Press stated that Young and his attorney are trying to reach a deal in his aggravated assault case.
The incident occurred back on April 27th and it involved Young and four other men outside of the NYC hotel where the Tigers were staying. The April altercation did sideline Young for a handful of games while the Tigers evaluated the situation.
Young’s next court date will be on November 7th in New York. He will not miss any further action because of this case.
Young has had a down year batting .266/.297/.404 with 12 home runs and 43 RBI. Maybe with this case behind him until after the season, Young will be more efficient for his fantasy owners at the plate.

Managers, like everyone, have good days and bad days -- sometimes on the same day. Jim Leyland played the odds Friday night and saw it pay off for him in a 10-2 Detroit Tigers victory over the Cleveland Indians. He did something he hasn't done with this Tigers team -- lining up five left-handed hitters against Indians right-hander Justin Masterson -- because it would leave...
