New York Yankees first baseman, Mark Teixeira, has not suffered any structural damage to his left wrist; a report from ESPN New York confirmed on Tuesday. Teixeira underwent an MRI today and the results indicated such.
Teixeira first injured his wrist on Sunday night in an at bat against the Boston Red Sox and further aggravated his injury when trying to make a play on a ground ball against the Baltimore Orioles on Monday.
He is out of the lineup tonight against the Orioles and reports are indicating that he will miss at least two more starts. Teixeira is eying a weekend return during a home series against the Seattle Mariners. It should be noted that the Yankees have Thursday off; giving him an extra day to recover without missing any action.
Teixeira was having a very good month batting .298 with 7 homeruns and 27 RBI in July.

Ichiro Suzuki is earning his stripes for the Yankees with excellent plays in the field, including this jumping catch at the wall to rob Baltimore Orioles infielder Mark Reynolds of extra bases on Wednesday.
The play occurred with no outs in the top of the sixth inning at Yankee stadium. Reynolds, a well streaky power hitter with a boom or bust approach at the plate, hit a fastball...
Joba Chamberlain— who expected to pitch his final rehab game in a Double-A Trenton game before returning to the Yankees— suddenly found himself being called up to the New York bullpen instead on Tuesday.

The Yankees are playing like bent, old structures. With no hope for fiscal stimulus, the strained facilities begin to break. A-Rod was broken by Seattle, and we did not even retaliate. The recent collapse against the red socks proves that our line-up is not able to compete, even against the downtrodden and horrible. We are, at best, shaking in the wind. At worst, we are simply broken...

Veteran outfielder Ichiro Suzuki showed off his outfield skills on Sunday night, catching a pop fly behind his back during batting practice. The ten-time All-Star and former rookie of the year joined the Yankees last week after a 11 year hall of fame career with the Mariners.
Ichiro is batting .261 with the Yankees, with two runs scored and two stolen bases in six games.
NEW YORK -- The Yankee Stadium crowd grew quiet as the night went on, save for the occasional boos. The New York Yankees had started the game flexing their muscles as they had all year, pounding the Baltimore Orioles for five runs in the first. The Yankees appeared poised to end their three-game losing streak and humble the second-place Orioles with a familiar display of their...

The Yankees obtained third baseman Casey McGehee from Pittsburgh for reliever Chad Qualls on Tuesday, giving them a right-handed batter to plug in while Alex Rodriguez and Mark Teixeira recuperate from hand injuries.
