Javier Vazquez finally came out of his shell after having a streak of terrible performances. Vazquez picked up his first win in his last five starts as the veteran right-handed pitcher threw 5 1/3 innings of scoreless baseball even though allowing 10 hits. He also struck out four Angels in a 5-2 win Tuesday night. The good times rolled when first baseman Gaby Sanchez started the game out right with a solo shot in the first inning. It his 13th home run on the season. Then in the second, an Omar Infante sac-fly scored Greg Dobbs to bring the score to 2-0. Mike Stanton would add two more RBIs including a sixth inning double to bring the game to 4-0 and Infante would add another run to bring the score to a steady 5-0. Was the game won there? Well, no. The ninth inning got somewhat shaky. With Jose Ceda pitching, Torii Hunter and Bobby Abreu both came through with RBIs to scare the Marlins a bit. Manager Jack McKeon would bring in closer Leo Nunez to garner his 20th save of the season. ...
