Justin Verlander has many identifiers at this point in his career.
Tigers ace. Two-time no-hit man. Reigning American League Most Valuable Player and Cy Young Award winner. Video-game spokesmancover model for MLB 2K12.
Now, it would seem, expert prognosticator can be added to his resume.
Verlander, 28, was the only one of more than 100 celebrities to correctly predict the outcome of the Super Bowl, including the final score, in a Scripps Howard poll.
He nailed it: Giants 21, Patriots 17.
Soon we'll see if Verlander can nail down another prolific season with the Tigers. Pitchers and catchers report to spring training in Lakeland, Fla., on Feb. 19.
