From Diehard Sport:

Victor Martinez’s kid looks like he had an epic time in the Tigers clubhouse after the team's win in Oakland during Game 5 of the ALDS.  I’m sure this will be something little Victor will remember for the rest of his life.

It wasn’t Victor Martinez Jr. showering Torii Hunter with champagne, but this was still pretty funny.

Tigers Stars Shine In Game 5

The last entrant into the league championship series round of the Major League Postseason punched their ticket last night in Oakland. Behind a stellar effort by starting pitcher Justin Verlander the Detroit Tigers shutout the Oakland A’s, 3-0, to win their American League Division Series three games to two. Verlander and Cabrera cuss on TV after beating Oakland A’s

Detroit Tigers’ Justin Verlander and Miguel Cabrera were understandably pumped after beating the Oakland A’s in game 5 of the ALDS.  Both of them dropped a few “f*ck yeah’s” on live TV afterwards, but who could blame them?  It was an epic come back from the brink of defeat.

Tigers (oddly) celebrate ALDS win over Oakland

Down two games to one and 3-0 in Game 4, the Detroit Tigers came back to win the best-of-five American League Divisional League series.  I guess that means they can celebrate any way they want to.  And they did.  Oddly. It’s called the Haka and it was taken from a Samoan/Pacific Island thing.

Torii Hunter confident he’ll play beyond next season

Last November, Torii Hunter signed a two year contact with the Detroit Tigers and most believed he would call it a career at the end of the contract.  But now Hunter, at age 38,  is confident he can play beyond 2014. As reported by Alden Gonzalez of MLB.com, Hunter has in many ways defied age.  He played in 148 games this season, and although he moved from center field to right...

Tigers may trade Scherzer this winter before cost skyrockets

Baseball's winter trade market will feature a Cy Young winner. Or two Cy Young winners. The Rays will almost certainly trade David Price. But there's also a very real chance that the Tigers trade Max Scherzer according to sources. Scherzer hasn't won a Cy Young yet but he's the heavy favorite to win the award in the American League this year after going 21-3 with...
