Alex Rodriguez may not be the most popular Yankee in the Newport Riverside apartment complex in Tampa.
Newport Riverside is one of the many apartment complexes owned by Newport Property Ventures (a company founded by A-Rod), but this one is different from the 14 others — it comes fully equipped with rats, roaches, rotting wood and leaky ceilings, according to News 10.
And nothing is apparently being done about it.
In fact, this isn’t the first time the residents have complained, as the New York Times ran a feature on the complex five years ago, reporting similar complaints.
But that’s not it. Residents reportedly have also been towed recently for parking in their own parking spots “incorrectly”. Earlier this week, tow trucks removed a number of residents’ cars because they backed into their spots, which violates a non-posted policy of only parking “front in.”
Tenant Leslie Barnes was one of the residents who had to cough up $175 to get her car back from the tow company. That money was supposed to go toward her children’s Christmas gifts.
So there you have it: Grinch-Rod is apparently stealing gifts from children.

Ichiro Suzuki enjoyed playing for the New York Yankees so much, he will be back with them again.
The Yankees and Ichiro were close to an agreement Wednesday, negotiating the final details of a free-agent contract, according to major league sources.
The question was whether the deal would be for one year, two years or one year with a vesting option for 2014, a source said.
Ichiro Suzuki and the New York Yankees are closing in on a contract that would guarantee the outfielder between $12 million and $13 million.
A person familiar with the negotiations, speaking on condition of anonymity because talks were ongoing, said Thursday the agreement likely would be for a two-year deal.
Acquired from the Seattle Mariners on July 23, the 39-year-old Suzuki...
Kevin Youkilis has agreed to sign with the Yankees, which predictably has New York’s large Jewish population pretty excited.
Youk, who spent his entire career with the Boston Red Sox until being traded to the Chicago White Sox last season, grew up in Cincinnati and is from a Jewish family. He had a Bar Mitzvah, and his father says the ballplayer can even read Hebrew.
So how did...
Yankees closer Mariano Rivera said on Wednesday he will be "definitely ready" to pitch during Spring Training and will be available to pitch in the Yankees' regular-season opener against the Red Sox on April 1, MLB.com reported. Now that they have inked free agent corner infielder Kevin
Youkilis to a one-year, $12 million contract, the New York Yankees will shift
their attention to re-signing outfielder Ichiro Suzuki, reports Jack Curry of
the YES Network.
With Youkilis in the fold, the Yankees will next look to complete a deal with Ichiro. Source said that could happen in the next 48 hours.
Ichiro returns for 2 more seasons with the Yanks
Ichiro turned around his 2012 season when he was traded to the Yankees. He played 95 games on Seattle and his numbers were not impressive (.261 BA/.288 OBP/.353 SLG and only had 28 RBIs). Compare that to his 67 games on the Yankees (.322 BA/.340 OBP/.454 SLG with 27 RBIs) and you have a different story. He was a rejuvenated player...
The Yankees have turned to an old rival to serve as Alex Rodriguez's replacement.
The team on Tuesday reached agreement with free-agent third baseman Kevin Youkilis on a one-year, $12 million contract, according to major-league sources.
The deal, which is pending a physical, will bring to New York a player who spent nearly his entire career with the Boston Red Sox.
The New York Yankees have been hit with an $18.9 million luxury tax by Major League Baseball, the 10th consecutive year they will pay a penalty for their spending.
The Yankees finished with a $222.5 million payroll for purposes of the tax, according to figures sent to teams Thursday and obtained by The Associated Press.

The New York Yankees added to their depth, signing a backup catcher and infielder. The team signed catcher Bobby Wilson, who has spent the past five seasons with the Los Angeles Angels, to a minor league contract. Wilson, 29, has hit .208 in 191 major league games. Last season he hit .211 in 75 games,
Nick Swisher is being courted by as many as six teams. The team that may be the most aggressive in pursuing Swisher is the Cleveland Indians notes Jim Bowden.
The Indians traded away Shin-Soo Choo and would use Swisher as their everyday right fielder. He finished last season with a .272/.364/.473 line while hitting 24 home runs and driving in 93 RBI for the New York Yankees.
In 1989, Biz Markie’s Just a Friend was one of the original rap/pop crossover hits to receive major radio airplay. It’s the first song I ever remember listening to where a rapper actually sang as well.
For the past several years it was played at Fenway Park every time Kevin Youkilis came up to bat. The crowd would chant “Yooouuuuk, you got what I need…” In fact...
