Your browser does not support iframes. A bizarre scene unfolded immediately following the Los Angeles Dodgers' 3-2 victory over the San Francisco Giants on Thursday. Former Giant and current Dodger Brian Wilson emerged from the bullpen and marched over to the stands where Giants CEO Larry Baer was sitting and began fuming about something. It wasn't immediately clear what Wilson was so upset about, however, despite what the initial television broadcast claimed, Wilson was reportedly angry about not having received his 2012 World Series ring yet. More on the story from CSNBayArea.com: Club vice president Staci Slaughter said Wilson's ring was made in time for the ring ceremony in April, but he declined an invitation. Slaughter said several members of the organization, including Baer, manager Bruce Bochy and VP Bobby Evans, have tried over the last seven months to arrange a meeting with Wilson but their calls weren't returned. The Giants finally gave the ring to a Dodgers official on Thursday and asked that it be passed along to Wilson. "It's disappointing. It's unfortunate. It's bizarre, really," Slaughter said. "This organization really has tried to do the right thing and I don't know where this is coming from. It wasn't for a lack of effort on our part. Larry, Bobby, Bochy — everybody has made an effort to reach out to him." Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle provided even further details on the situation. He reports that the Giants tried to meet Wilson on Tuesday to personally deliver the ring, but Wilson told them to "just put it in my locker." By Wednesday, Wilson had changed his mind, and wanted a big on-field ceremony. It's fair to assume that most of this fiasco has been caused by hurt feelings. The Giants chose not to re-sign Wilson this season after an injury caused him to miss most all of 2012 and required Tommy John surgery. Via Big League Stew
