(Bryce Harper's home run trot/sprint is becoming a "thing". Screengrab via MASN.) "I think it’s just a matter of time before I get going." (Bryce Harper, via Washington Times, 5/26/2012) On Saturday, Bryce Harper Bryce hit his 3rd big league home run, which happened to be his first ever big league oppo-boppo home run. Once again, no showboating  -- his HR trot was a full sprint around the bases. Video below (and here). Bryce Harper Destroys Johnny Venters (Career Home Run #3)

Here’s Bryce Harper finishing a nice little Memorial Weekend Saturday (Nats won 8-4) by taking a 94 MPH Johnny Venters fastball out on a line drive the other way to left field. It was the third home run Venters has allowed to a lefty in his career. And it resulted in this: A beautiful little impression left on the concrete wall over the fence in left. This kid is unbelievable...

Bryce Harper also has his own custom headphones

Remember a few days ago, when Gio Gonzalez tweeted a picture of the custom headphones he apparently hooked up his Nats' rotation mates with? Well, it turns out Bryce Harper has his own pair of those custom headphones, too. See above photo above (courtesy of reader Michael @foamcube) taken last Saturday at a Kid's Clinic at Nationals Park. Another hookup from Gio? Befriend...

Bryce Harper’s Sunday Night Baseball Home Run off Livan Hernandez

In last night’s 7-2 win that finished off a Nationals sweep, Bryce Harper hit what I think was the most impressive of his four career big league home runs. In case you weren’t watching, in the at-bat prior Livan Hernandez struck out Harper with a breaking ball. When Livan came back with a breaking ball the following at-bat, it ended up deep in the Atlanta night.

Steve McCatty's bloody nose...

Not nearly as striking as Bryce Harper with blood dripping down his face a few weeks ago...but Steve McCatty on ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball with cotton balls jammed up his nostrils in the 9th inning?  Fairly striking. Nationals 7, Braves 2 (Sunday night): Gio Gonazelz's 10 K gem completes sweep. Bryce Harper took Livan Hernandez deep (video here), revenge after...

ATLANTA (AP) -- Bryce Harper homered and Danny Espinosa added a three-run shot to help Washington strengthen its hold on first place in the NL East by beating the reeling Atlanta Braves 8-4 on Saturday. Stephen Strasburg (5-1) was not sharp but still won. He set a season high with four walks while giving up four runs and six hits in five innings. He had six strikeouts. The Braves...

Braves losing skid hits 7 in loss to Nationals

ATLANTA (AP) -- Bryce Harper hit his second homer in two days, Gio Gonzalez gave up only one hit in seven innings and the Nationals beat the struggling Atlanta Braves 7-2 on Sunday night to complete a three-game sweep. Washington's first sweep at Turner Field in three years left the Braves with a seven-game losing streak, their worst skid since dropping nine straight in 2010...

Scans for a couple of Firsts

Here’s a picture I snapped of Bryce Harper the first time I got to see him play live, May 11th, 2012. And here is a scan of my tickets for my first and only trip to Wrigley Field on April 21st, 2012.

Giancarlo: I Choose You!

Growing up, Pokémon was like crack for sixth graders. The trading cards, the video games, the TV show, and the movies were all just various ways for a pre-pubescent 11-year old to get their fix. Now, for those who had the OG red and blue versions, you remember how the game starts: you go to Prof. Oak’s lab and you have to choose one of three Pokémon. Each had their positives...
