Your browser does not support iframes.A wacky series of events unfolded Friday evening at Miller Park.It all began in the bottom of the eighth when Milwaukee's Jean Segura swiped second base. That's no big deal by itself. Players steal bases every night in Major League Baseball. One pitch later, teammate Ryan Braun draws a walk to put runners on first and second, with no outs. That brings Rickie Weeks to the dish. Three pitches later, the Brewers apparently put on the double steal, but their attempt at thievery is quickly sniffed out by the Cubs.Segura gets caught in a rundown, so he retreats back to second, only to wind up all the way back on first base after Braun is tagged out at second. One out later, Segura tries the unthinkable by trying to steal second base, again! However, this time his attempt proves futile as he is tagged out by Cubs second baseman Darwin Barney to end the inning.Fortunately for Milwaukee, the baserunning blunder didn't cost them the game. They edged out Chicago by a tally of 5-4. Additionally, Cubs manager Dale Sveum was ejected for arguing balls and strikes in the sixth.
