Via Bush League Chronicle:

The only thing more dangerous to a fan at a Major League Baseball game than a flying baseball is a flying bat.

Fortunately, this Seattle Mariners fan had the ability to stop an errant piece of lumber in its track Tuesday night, and subsequently keep anyone sitting around him from getting hurt.

The moment came in the fifth inning when Mariners catcher Kelly Shoppach swung and missed on a pitch to go down on strikes. However, he couldn't hold on to the bat, and it went flying off into the third base side of the stands.

This is when the blonde-haired fan worked his magic and snared the bat with two hands.

Well done, sir. He received a nice round of high fives for his efforts.
