The Detroit Tigers Miguel Cabrera smacked two home runs on Sunday against the Rangers to tie Hall of Famer Hank Greenberg with 331 career home runs.
The shots were taken off starter Derek Holland in the third and fifth innings.

Miguel Cabrera is a pretty good hitter. On the heels of his 4 for 4, three home run, five RBI night against the Texas Rangers, his current numbers (through 42 games) make his numbers from last year through the 42 games look ordinary.
At the time of this post (May 20, 11:30 EDT), Cabrera leads the American League (and Majors) in batting average with a .387 clip. Rays first...
Even though the Detroit Tigers lost to the Texas Rangers, 11-8, Miguel Cabrera put on quite a show at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington. Cabrera finished 4-4 on the night (one intentional walk) and also hitting three long balls back-to-back-to-back.
It’s either Cabrera or Albert Pujols for the best hitter in our era. I’d have to side with Cabby.

We can all put to rest whether or not Miguel Cabrera’s “Triple Crown” season last year was a fluke or not. Going into Sunday night’s game against the Texas Rangers, Miggy was leading the majors in hitting with a .384BA 8HR, and 46RBI. Then all of a sudden the Texas Rangers and baseball fans all over the nation witnessed the best hitter...
The Detroit Tigers Miguel Cabrera is probably the best player in all of baseball. It is tough to argue with at this very moment. His body of work over the past several seasons cannot be matched by anyone in all of Major League Baseball. Last year, he captured the Triple Crown, the first time anyone had done that in 45 years. This helped him capture the AL MVP award over Mike Trout...
It's been awhile since I've seen an "Eephus pitch" thrown at the Major League level but clearly, Rangers pitcher Yu Darvish knows how to use it.
Watch as he delivers a 62-mph pitch past Detroit Tigers slugger Miguel Cabrera:

In Monday night's Yankees-Orioles game at Camden Yards , New York's Robinson Cano and Baltimore's Chris Davis each hit their 13th home run of the season, giving them the share of the AL lead. But it's a guy sitting two home runs behind them, and who didn't even play on Monday, making all the headlines -- again.
With his three-homer game at Texas on Sunday night...
David Murphy put Texas ahead with a three-run home run, and the Rangers spoiled a three-homer game from Miguel Cabrera with an 11-8 victory against the Detroit Tigers on Sunday night.
Murphy's shot just over the fence in right field gave Texas an 8-7 lead and answered a bases-loaded double from Prince Fielder that put Detroit up by two in the sixth inning after the Rangers had...

Honestly had no idea who Miguel was until he showed up on every site in the world during the evening. (And, sadly, it ain't Miguel Cabrera.) This time on BroBible via Guyism.

Detroit Tigers superstar Miguel Cabrera is on pace for perhaps a second Triple Crown. That impresses Barry Bonds, but Bonds still believes he's far better.
Former outfielder and slugger Barry Bonds typically tries to stay away from the media as he has made it clear over the years that he does not enjoy talking to them. So when Bonds actually does decide to speak, it usually is something worth noting or at least being discussed. Bonds did a phone interview [...]
Detroit fans have a new Triple Crown winner to celebrate and he doesn’t go by the name of Miguel Cabrera. Former Detroit Lions wide receiver Titus Young has had a rough week, to say the least. The former 2nd round draft pick in 2011 hit the trifecta after being arrested three times in the past week, making his chances of a return to the NFL about as slim as Tayshaun Prince’s...
CLEVELAND (AP) -- Miguel Cabrera hit a two-run homer and Max Scherzer retired 22 straight batters after the first inning, leading the Detroit Tigers to a 5-1 win over Cleveland on Tuesday night to stop the Indians' winning streak at five and trim their lead in the AL Central.
Cabrera's laser shot in the sixth inning off Corey Kluber (3-3) helped the Tigers win for just the...

Just when we thought it was okay to give the 2013 MVP to the last year’s Triple Crown and MVP winner, Miguel Cabrera guess who decides to crash the party? Mike Trout, the sophomore sensation who finished second in the AL MVP vote last year. Trout had an answer to Cabrera’s recent tear by hitting for the cycle on Tuesday night against the Seattle Mariners...
