As we know, the Boston Red Sox honored Mike Lowell before the game since he is retiring after tomorrow's game against the New York Yankees.
In his first at-bat, Lowell had a two-run double and walked in his second at-bat. In what turns out to be his final MLB at-bat, Lowell singled off the wall, narrowly missing a home run. During the pitching change, Lowell was taken out of the game and left to a standing ovation from the Fenway Park faithful.
Here's the video of that moment for you to enjoy:

After the game, skipper Terry Francona announced that this would be Lowell's final game with Lowell confirming that moments later.
