Joey Votto did something on Sunday in which he hadn't done since June 24, 2012: he hit a home run.
The long drought came to an end in the ninth inning as Votto belted a bomb well over the center field wall at PNC Park. As you can see, it was a no doubter.
Votto missed nearly two months during the middle of last season as he recovered from a knee injury. He returned in late August, but failed to homer in any of the team's remaining games.
Unfortunately, his solo homer wasn't enough to help the Reds avoid being swept by the Pirates. The Buccos took the finale, 10-7, to send Cincinnati to their fifth straight defeat.
