With the return of John Farrell officially scheduled for Tuesday at noon, the question can change from who will manager the Red Sox in 2012, to who will get the most out of Farrell's return to Boston?
After a season in which Boston had a team ERA of 4.70 and a team high of 11 wins by Clay Buchholz, the starting rotation and staff as a whole needs needs a lift heading into 2013.
Farrell, who notably helped the Sox to a World Series in 2007 with an extremely efficent staff, comes to a team with questions ranging from who will start on Opening Day, to who will pitch the seventh and eighth innings.
For argument's sake, let's stick with the rotation.
