There are a few names that most baseball players never want to be associated with. Brian McNamee comes to mind. Victor Conte’s in the same boat, for essentially the same reason. Then there are the guys making the wrong kinds of headlines, like Ugueth Urbina, Brett Myers, Joba Chamberlain and countless others. And don’t forget the dudes with the general all-purpose asshole rep — John Rocker, Gary Sheffield, A.J. Pierzynski, et al.
