First off, I well aware that the Boston Red Sox have been in cahoots since their collapse last September but last night in the Bronxdefiantly iced the cake. David Ortiz I mean the Red Sox really stink. After watching the Yankees basically take batting practice off, one-time future ace and 2010 All-Star, Clay Buchholz, all I felt was really sad, especially for the loyal Boston fans. Buchholz got tagged for eight earned runs before, three homers before getting pulled in the second inning. Please don’t think that I didn’t notice that the Yankees 10-2, win; or that along with the Orioles losing to the Rays meant the Bombers once again were a game ahead in the AL East because I did. But I was also wondering where is Big Papi, still injured? Didn’t see him in the dugout being a good teammate, but can you really blame him? In a sense yes because veterans like David Ortiz or Dustin Pedroia should have stepped in last September and stopped the bleeding, or the party. (more…) © Kate for Lady...

Dustin Pedroia Playing With Broken Finger, Solidifying Role as Leader in Clubhouse (Video)

The Boston Red Sox have two meaningless games left to play in a season that was deemed lost more than a month ago. This is the time when most players would choose to sit if they are suffering from even a minor injury. Not Dustin Pedroia. "I like playing man. It's fun," is how Pedroia responded to reporters asking him why he decided to play in Tuesday's game against...

Jacoby Ellsbury, Dustin Pedroia Absent From Red Sox Lineup in Series Opener With Yankees

The Baltimore Orioles aren't going to like what they see when they look at the Red Sox' lineup for Monday night's series opener with the Yankees. Pedro Ciriaco Will Need to Take Yankee Killer Reputation to Next Level to Knock New York Out of First Place (Video)

As CC Sabathia takes the mound for the Yankees on Monday night, he might be understandably licking his chops at the prospect of facing this Red Sox lineup. Without the likes of Jacoby Ellsbury or Dustin Pedroia batting for Boston, Sabathia will instead get a chance to face a Red Sox lineup that is a bit, shall we say, lacking in star power. However, there is one possible fly in Sabathia...
