Good and bad early. Good - Michael Young continues to be the team's most consistent hitter, doesn't try to do too much with a pitch. Good - Hamilton looked a little rusty but battled in his first at-bat off the DL, blooped one in and showed no rustiness on the basepaths, going from first to third and alertly getting home on the error. Good - Hank Blalock continues to be clutch. Didn't let an early scoring opportunity go to waste against a tough pitcher. Bad - Been a while since I've seen a hitter fooled as badly by a pitch as Andrew Jones was when he struck out against Weaver for the second out. Would have been a nice spot for a left-handed hitter, say David Murphy.
