Our condolences go out to the Nick Swisher family on the loss of his mother. He is back in Goodyear Arizona after what had to be a very difficult time for him and his family. No matter how long we have our mothers, no one is ever ready to lose one. Nick Swisher had to leave his teammates to return to Ohio to attend the funeral services of his mother. Now that he is back with his teammates, he has to be feeling some of the excitement he felt before the death of his mother. It is hard to say how many times Swisher used the phrase he is excited when he signed with the Cleveland Indians.  I read somewhere that is Swisher hits a home run for every time he used the word excited, he will have his best season in major league baseball. Swisher who spent the last 4 years with the New York Yankees could bring something to the Indians they missed in 2012, he could bring a bat that could help the Indians win ball games and play first base. Last season the Tribe had a great defensive effort at fi...

Asdrubal Cabrera likely to bat second in new-look Tribe lineup

All-Star shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera may find himself batting second in a Cleveland Indians lineup that is rife with new names. Looking back on 2012, it seems that Perez's frustrations with Manny Acta's managing style during...
