Sometimes things get a little fuzzy after a day and night drinking at the pub.  Here’s a friendly reminder of what you might have missed while you were drinking. Edinson Volquez worked an efficient 5 innings on 77 pitches, allowing two runs on four hits.  He then threw 29 pitches in the sixth and left a mess which, fortunately, Dale Thayer cleaned up.  The Padres exploded for 4 runs in the top of the seventh, highlighted by Jesus Guzman‘s 2-run shot to left, and cruised to a comfortable win. Or at least they would have except for that horror show of a bottom of the seventh.  The recently sound Padres bullpen allowed five runs and nearly gave the game away.  Will Venable made a diving catch of Norichika Aoki‘s line drive to end the inning and preserve the lead.  Tim Stauffer and Huston Street each threw a scoreless inning, and closed out a 10-8 Padres win.  San Diego takes three of four from Milwaukee and wins their first series since sweeping Arizona in June.
