Sometimes things get a little fuzzy after a night in the pub. Here’s a friendly reminder of what you might have missed while you were drinking.
My goodness do I hope you were drinking. Or simply doing something, anything, else than watching this game. The Padres lost 10-1 to the Giants. For the 2nd game in a row the Padres scored in the 1st inning and then…nothingness. Local boy Sean O’Sullivan was called up and was effective for 5 innings. The bullpen? Less great. But enough about the bad. The Padres gave away pretty cool looking fedoras and were wearing slick looking throwback PCL uniforms from the late ’40s.
The Padres attempted the hidden ball trick, an umpire blocked out a defender and then missed a fair ball call, and Buddy Black got thrown out. It was a weird night. Oh, and Alonso and Gyorko returned. So hopefully that will help.
