The umpires didnt want to start the game, get the pitchers all warmed up, and then have a delay. They would have been better off just calling the game for the Indians sake. The White Sox abused Jeanmar Gomez during a six-run fourth inning which for all intents and purposes ended the game. Chicago would go on to take the final game of the series 8-1. They got two in the first inning for the second straight night, this time thanks to an Adam Dunn homer. Interestingly in the last three games of the series, Dunn crushed a pitch in the first inning deep into the Cleveland skies. On Monday night, Michael Brantley ...

Gomez falters as White Sox take advantage

CLEVELAND (AP) -- Jake Peavy coasted for six innings before giving up a run in the seventh and Adam Dunn homered, leading the Chicago White Sox to an easy 8-1 win over the AL Central-leading Cleveland Indians on Wednesday night and a split of their four-game series. Peavy (4-1) allowed seven hits, struck out five and had little difficulty with the Indians, who didn't get a runner...

Why The White Sox Have Been A Different Team In 2012

Last season the White Sox were supposed to be great. I was positive that they would run away with the division. Adam Dunn had just been brought in to bolster the offense and the team had a rock solid starting rotation. Setup man extraordinaire Matt Thornton looked poised to make a seamless transition to the closer’s role. But as we now know, everything that could go wrong did for...

Buy Or Sell: The Cleveland Indians

Simple Jack loves The Thirsty Parrot.  GET IT?  Wocka wocka! In case you are a West Virginia alumnus and thus can not read a calendar, we are now currently in the month of May. In the sporting landscape, it is an average month as football provides us with very little and that counterbalances the basketball and hockey playoffs. On the diamond, this time of year provides us with...

White Sox 5 Indians 3: A Debate “Rages” On

The red hot Cleveland Indians seem to be doing no wrong these days. Every decision Manager Manny Acta has made seems to be the right one. The right strings are being pulled. However last night, after the Indians used a little Progressive Field magic eighth inning comeback, Acta made a decision that was scrutinzed after the White Sox took the game 5-3 in 10 innings. The Tribe offense...

Derek Lowe Starting for Indians, Facing Josh Beckett, Red Sox in Rematch of 2009 Pitchers' Duel

That number will grow to two on Thursday night when the veteran right-hander leads the Indians into Boston to take on the Red Sox in the first of four games between Cleveland and Boston.
