The Chicago White Sox on Sunday activated infielder-outfielder Mark Teahen from the 15-day disabled list.
Teahen has been sidelined since mid-May with an oblique muscle injury. He has been rehabilitating in the minor leagues, playing a number of positions, but is expected to play primarily at third base with the White Sox.
Teahen is batting .226 with a homer and four RBI this season. He was in a 1-for-14 slump prior to going on the disabled list.
To create roster room for Teahen, the White designated righthander Jeff Marquez for assignment. Marquez did not appear in a game for the White Sox.
