B-REF PREVIEW | GAMEDAY | WEATHER | ACB CHAT ROOM Jose Contreras vs. Cubs hitters: .274/.306/.613 in 62 at-bats Jason Marquis vs. White Sox hitters: .367/.400/.722 in 79 at-bats When and Where: 12:05 pm, WGN 30% chance of rain, wind blowing across to right field at 9 mph. Aramis Ramirez is 5-11 with 3 home runs and a double off Contreras. Soriano is 5-8 with 3 home runs, but unfortunately is on the DL. Jason Marquis needs to stay away from just about every White Sox hitter to be successful today. He's been pretty bad against them in his career and that's easy to figure out the problem when you're allowing the team to hit for a 1.122 OPS against you. [UPDATE @ 10:25 AM] The Cubs have reportedly re-called Eric Patterson. He was optioned back to AAA less than 10 days ago so in order to re-call him the Cubs have to place someone on the DL. I'd assume it would be Zambrano, but it could be Johnson or Edmonds. The transaction isn't official yet. It's official now. Eric Patterson re-called, Carlos Zambrano placed on 15-day DL.
