Jake Peavy gave up an RBI double to Chase Headley and three runs overall in his first start of spring training, and the Chicago White Sox lost to the San Diego Padres 4-0 Sunday.
Peavy gave up five hits in three innings. Cameron Maybin and Nick Hundley each had RBI doubles off the former Padres star.
Padres starter Clayton Richard made his first spring start, too. He walked two in two hitless innings.
Tim Stauffer and Anthony Bass, competitors for a spot in San Diego's starting rotation, combined for three scoreless innings and five strikeouts.
Outfielder Jaff Decker homered for the Padres.

Richard pitched two scoreless innings, leading the Padres to a 4-0 win over the White Sox. Peavy was hit hard, giving up three runs and five hits.

John Danks returned to the mound for the White Sox on Monday for the first time since he underwent shoulder surgery on August 6th of last year.
