Less than a week after Rick Hahn began his new job as general manager of the Chicago White Sox, he traded the son of the man who formerly held his job. Hahn dealt minor-league outfielder Ken Williams Jr. to the Colorado Rockies for first baseman-outfielder Mark Tracy, the White Sox announced. Williams is the son of Ken Williams Sr., the team's former general manager who was promoted to executive vice president last week. Tracy is the son of former Rockies manager Jim Tracy. The switch-hitting Williams has a .233 batting average in five minor-league seasons since he was drafted in the sixth round in 2008. In 2012, he played for double-A Birmingham and hit .250. Tracy hit .264 this past season with Class A Modesto and has a .244 batting average in three minor-league seasons in the Rockies' organization.
