At some point, having six rookies in the bullpen will catch up with the White Sox. It didn't Wednesday in the 5-4 extra-inning win against the Texas Rangers. The Sox used three of the rookie relievers in their latest win, with closer Addison Reed getting the win with an inning of work, thanks to a Kevin Youkilis' game-winning single. The weather in Chicago has been as hot as it’s been in years. With triple-digit temperatures for three straight days, it’s hard to imagine anything hotter than this heat in the Windy City.

It was Kevin Youkilis’ first home game in Chicago and he did not disappoint. Youkilis launched a two-run bomb in his first at-bat and that started a Chicago White Sox slugfest against the Texas Rangers.

Sale went 7 1/3 innings, allowing just one run on five hits while fanning four in the White Sox's 19-2 win. He lowered his season ERA to 2.19, making the case for Texas manager Ron Washington, who...
The career of Bobby Jenks got off on the wrong foot when the right-hander was not allowed to play a lot of high school baseball due to his poor academic performance.
Book ending that and his release today from the Boston Red Sox has been good times, bad times and more than a couple of rowdy moments.

Kevin Youkilis may find the Chicago White Sox's season-long problems at home a bit surprising.
The third baseman had an outstanding first series at U.S. Cellular Field with the White Sox, who will be in search of a sixth straight home victory in Friday night's series opener against the Toronto Blue Jays.
The White Sox (45-37) have moved over .500 at home at 22-21 for the...
