By David Saltzer, AngelsWin.com Senior Writer Baseball and Bowling are about as far apart in sports as trucks were from Trans Ams. Aside from both being enhanced by a good beer, neither sport has much overlap. In fact, in many ways, they are diametrically opposed. For one thing, getting a strike in baseball isn't a good thing, whereas in bowling, that's the best thing. For another thing, the highest scoring baseball games fail to come close to the lowest scoring baseball games. Sunday night, AngelsWin.com caught up with several Angels current and former Angels greats to see how they performed off the diamond and on the bowling lanes. Taking part in the Eddie Guardado Stars & Strikes Celebrity Bowling Tournament to raise funds for families with children with autism, AngelsWin.com caught Howie Kendrick, Torii Hunter, Rex Hudler and Troy Percival doing their best to raise money for charity while having fun. Angels Depth a Problem ?

Whenever I read an article about Mike Trout, Vernon Wells, Bobby Abreu, Mark Trumbo or Kendrys Morales I?m bound to come across the same statement ?Having too much depth is a good problem to have.? Every time I read this sentence it makes me want to shake my laptop uncontrollably. I mean sure, that?s a lot of good/potentially good players for a few positions, but this is only healthy...

2012 Player Preview: Torii Hunter

2011 was far from Torii Hunter's best season, but he did finish in a fashion that gives us hope that his old age hasn't taken too much of a toll on his abilties. Can 2012 be the year Hunter revives his career or will it be not only his last as an Angel, but last in the majors? (EDITOR'S NOTE: Due to the early start, not all stat projection systems are available...

Poll: One Last Look at the Angels Remaining Shopping List

In just under three weeks, the first of the Angels will begin reporting to Spring Training. Despite having spent more money than the gross domestic product of the nation of Tonga on new contracts this off-season (not an exaggeration, by the way), the Angels still might have a few items on their off-season shopping list to check off before they head to the Tempe Diablo Stadium complex...

Player Profile #104: Howie Kendrick | 2B | LAA

I just got through telling you about how I think Chris Young should be a top-100 player but George, my co-contributor, doesn’t value him as highly. The inverse is true for Howie Kendrick. Who knows which of us is right, but either way they’re definitely two of the most polarizing players in fantasy. Kendrick will give you a good average, some useful stolen base totals...

Taken by the Angels with the 201st pick of the 2009 amateur draft, the 20-year-old was 3-2 with a 4.60 ERA in 20 relief appearances last year for the...

Trout highlights rookie hitters

"It ain't easy being green," bemoaned Kermit the Frog. While this assertion referred to the color of Kermit's complexion, the world's preeminent puppet could have easily been speculating on the arduous nature of inexperience. Nowhere is this disposition more evident than the baseball diamond, where the untested are chewed up and spit out like sunflower seeds...
