One of the big questions marks for the Orioles heading into 2012 is their starting rotation. Outside of Jeremy Guthrie, there isn’t a single player who is guaranteed a spot. Even Brian Matusz may not be guaranteed a spot, given his ugly performance in 2011. Which is why the news that the Orioles may be open to trading Chris Tillman came as quite the surprise.

2011 Orioles Retrospective: Chris Davis
While Tommy Hunter was probably the main piece coming to Baltimore in the Koji Uehara trade, the O's also picked up corner infielder Chris Davis in the deal. I hope and believe that one day when looking back on Baltimore Orioles’ history, we’ll point to September 28, 2011 as a turning point. For those that don’t remember, that was the day that the O’s beat the Red Sox (on the final day of the season) 4-3 with a walk-off double by Robert Andino in the last of the ninth. Literally moments after Nolan Reimold crossed...
