In Winter League action last night from the Dominican, Starling Marte went 2-for-3, with an RBI, a run scored and a walk. It was his first walk in ten games, after drawing 11 in his first 17 games. Anderson Hernandez went 2-for-4, with a double and an RBI. The double was the ninth of the season for Hernandez, who has now raised his average to .292 after 40 games. Felix Pie and Alex Valdez, batting 1-2 in the Estrellas de Oriente lineup, both went 0-for-3 yesterday. In Mexico, Ali Solis went 1-for-3, with a walk and a run scored. In Venezuela, Elevys Gonzalez flew out in his only AB, a pinch-hitting appearance in the ninth inning. He finished the game defensively at second base. It was his first game in 12 days and just his seventh overall on the VWL season. Gonzalez is 1-for-4, with two walks this year. Ramon Cabrera was traded to the Detroit Tigers yesterday. He finished with a .234/.308/.362 line in 20 games, before being dealt for LHP Andy Oliver.
