ESPN.com's Peter Gammons was asked about Milton Bradley in his chat yesterday (he was also asked about the Rangers...we'll get to that too). I noticed Lone Star Ball also talked about this some yesterday. You can check that out here. Here's what he said about Bradley:
Matt (Chicago): I know the Cubs would love to move Soriano and/or Bradley but neither scenario seems likely. Is it conceivable that they would consider moving any of their more marketable vets(Z,Lilly e.g).? They need a shakeup of some sort.
Gammons: I agree, but I don't think they'll trade Derrek Lee or Aramis Ramirez. My guess is they'll eat some of Bradley's contract and send him back to Texas. The Zambrano market will be interesting, but no where near what it would have been a year ago.
If they ate a good portion of the contract, I could see this. Bradley has about $20 million left on the deal, so the Cubs would need to pay the majority of that ($13-15 million of it or so).
