The New York Yankees are on their way up to Boston for the weekend to face the Red Sox in Fenway Park for a three game set.

Including this weekend’s series the Yankees still have 10 games vs. their divisional rivals this season.
With the AL East leading Red Sox clearly having the better year, the Yankees will have their work cut out.
Ideally the Yankees would love to leave on Sunday with their brooms in hand, but if they can take two of three up in Beantown that would be fine too.
This is not the same Yankees team that posts a 3-6 record vs. the Red Sox on the season.
As Boston has yet to see Alex Rodriguez, Alfonso Soriano and Curtis Granderson in the line-up, which certainly evens things out in this series. (more…)

The post Yankees: Do you think...
BEST OF MAXIM
According to the NY Daily News, there was one course of action that MLB could have taken that Alex Rodriguez would not fight. Mainly because it was a course of action that Rodriguez and his team birthed.
Rodriguez was reportedly prepared to accept an 80 to 100 game suspension from MLB. And as soon as the suspension was up, he would immediately retire. Other than the light suspension...
Alex Rodriguez arrived at Fenway Park on Friday to begin a three-game series against the Red Sox bracing for an extended chorus of derision from Red Sox fans getting their first crack at him since baseball suspended him for 211 games. The punishment came after he was linked to a South Florida clinic that supplied players with performance-enhancing drugs.
But even before he stepped...
BOSTON — As the case against Alex Rodriguez as a baseball player and human being grows, the Yankees slugger was left taking a wide range of questions Friday night.
Rodriguez fielded queries about the latest accusations against him, a 60 Minutes report that he implicated teammate Francisco Cervelli and Brewers star Ryan Braun in MLB’s Biogenesis investigation. But he also was...
Alfonso Soriano homered twice for the second straight night and drove in a career-high seven runs, giving him a staggering 13 RBIs in two games while powering the suddenly potent New York Yankees to an 11-3 victory over the Los Angeles Angels on Wednesday.
Soriano hit an early grand slam and became the third player to knock in at least six runs in back-to-back games since RBIs became...

Los Angeles Angels 7 — New York Yankees 14
Alfonso Soriano has a career game in tonight’s 12-3 win over the Los Angeles Angels.
CC Sabathia started strong but stumbled into a problem area just as quickly. After striking out the first two batters, Mike Trout would...
New York Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez is not going to go down without a fight. If that wasn’t obvious before this week, it should have become so when he hired one of New York’s top criminal defense lawyers to represent him. While the general assumption is that A-Rod wants his suspension reduced, a new report […]
Alfonso Soriano goes back to being mortal.
CJ Wilson was decent enough to eek out a win. The Halos bullpen made it much more eek worthy than needed.
Recently it seems that our manager has no idea how to manage a bullpen (I know I am being redundant). Mike's new plan is that every bullpen clown gets to face one batter and then move on. I don't know how this play's...
Here’s a though: If Major League Baseball suspends a player–for whatever reason–and that player files an appeal, allow said player to participate in games by imposing a bail system.
Yes, Alex Rodriguez‘s current disposition is my inspiration for this proposal. I do not believe that its fair that he or any other player should be allowed to play while filing an appeal–especially...
The New York Yankees might have just found one way to rid themselves of Alex Rodriguez — the editing room.
Rodriguez, who did his own voice work as himself in the upcoming animated Yankees film "Henry & Me," will be removed from the film's final version due to fears from investors that the third baseman — who is currently appealing a 211-game suspension for...
''60 Minutes'' is reporting that members of Alex Rodriguez's
inner circle obtained and leaked documents that implicated Ryan
Braun and other players in using performance-enhancing drugs.
Alex Rodriguez may not have a lot to say to Major League Baseball but behind closed doors, A-Rod is allegedly a regular chatterbox when it comes to giving New York Yankees teammate Robinson Cano career advice.
A-Rod has reportedly been spreading the word behind the scenes that Cano should give pause about re-signing with the Yankees and explore the free-agent market.

With the Yankees in town, Red Sox pitcher John Lackey let it be known under no uncertain terms that he has an issue with A-Rod playing during his appeal.
The small city of Appleton, Wis., played host to one serious display of star power in the summer of 1996.
As part of a barnstorming tour, the Ken Griffey Jr.- and Edgar Martinez-led Seattle Mariners stopped by Appleton for an exhibition against the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, the team’s Class-A affiliate at the time. When rain put the game on hold, the players decided to give the...
The rivalry continues, this time with a little bit more juice behind it (pun intended).
Alex Rodriguez makes his first appearance at Fenway Park since the Biogenesis allegations and MLB suspension/appeal. He’ll be greeted cordially by the Fenway Faithful. Nothing to see here.
The Boston Red Sox (72-51) try to turn around their recent woes with...
