Yankees Season Comparison

Posted February 25, 2009 on yanks2136242's Blog:

After a disappointing third place finish last season, the Yanks look to have a bounce back season and win No. 27. There were a lot of injuries and they were expecting to much from the younger players ( Phil Hughes, Ian Kennedy). Come on, they're 21 and 23 (at the time) and you have no back up plan, sometimes you need to expect the worst. Look how the rotation turned out by the end of the season.

The Yankees went into the offseason with their number one priority being starting pitching. Now they go into this season with CC Sabathia, A.J. Burnett and Mark Teixeira among others.

I thought this would be a good time to compare the differences between the two by position (what the Yankees invisioned, as of Opening Day). Just for fun, where the Yanks were towards the end of the season.
