“All I can continue to tell everyone is our commitment to the fans is never going to change. We will always field a championship-caliber   Justin Morneau (Photo credit: Wikipedia) team. Is our goal 189 next year? Yes. But only if I’m convinced if the team I see, that we’ve put together, is a championship-caliber team.” That is what New York Yankees inherited owner Hal Steinbrenner told the NY Daily News on January 10, 2013. So should fans presume the Yankees are hot on the trail of Minnesota Twins first baseman Justin Morneau?
