So should fans presume the Yankees are hot on the trail of Minnesota Twins first baseman Justin Morneau?
One would think with the recent injury upgrade to switch-hitting, first baseman Mark Teixeira that would be the Yankees next step.
If this was last season I would have second-guessed a trade for Morneau because of his concussion issues but that battle seems to be over.
Last season Morneau posted a .267 batting average, hit 19 homers, 77 RBIs, 26 doubles and drew 49 walks. He could slide in perfectly right behind Robinson Cano in the line-up. (more…)
