Replacement Level Yankees:
NEW YORK—Joba Chamberlain kept recapturing his old form, Jorge Posada homered, Johnny Damon drove in three runs and the Yankees continued their winning ways, beating the A’s, 8-3, on Friday night to post their eighth consecutive victory.
One start after returning from the All-Star break and vowing that he had left his first-half struggles behind, Chamberlain showcased flashes of dominance and pizazz, limiting the A’s to one run on two hits before leaving to a standing ovation in the eighth inning.
I like winning. It’s like, better than losing.
