Found June 18, 2012 on Fox Sports:
CC Sabathia struck out 10, Derek Jeter drove in three runs and the New York Yankees won their 10th straight game, beating the Atlanta Braves 6-2 Monday night. Mark Teixeira and Robinson Cano hit solo home runs as the Yankees matched their longest winning streak since May 2005. The team with the AL's best record kept rampaging in interleague play. All 10 of these triumphs have come against NL teams with winning records, including a sweep at Turner Field last week. Michael Bourn led off the game with a triple and scored when Martin Prado followed with a groundout, ending Atlanta's 20-inning shutout string. But the Braves' first game at the new Yankee Stadium and first trip to the Bronx since 2006 still resulted in their seventh loss in eight tries. Sabathia (9-3) gave up seven hits in his 34th career complete game, and first since last July. He walked one, and fanned Chipper Jones and Jason Heyward to finish it. Sabathia beat the Braves last Tuesday, too, and improved...

Sabathia Finally Keeps Pace, Pitches Yanks To 10th Straight Win

During this now 10-game winning streak, the Yankees rotation has been stellar. With the exception of CC Sabathia, that is. Going into last night's start, Sabathia had trouble in the early innings in his last few starts, giving up runs in each of them, forcing the Yankees to play catch-up baseball. It looked like more of the same last night when CC gave up a first-inning run....

Sabathia finally keeps pace with rotation mates

Despite a 2-1 record and a 3.86 ERA in his last three starts, CC Sabathia wasn't happy with his work this month. The left-hander had allowed 25 hits and five walks in 21 innings, taking the only loss a New York Yankees starter has suffered in June. Sabathia delivered a vintage performance Monday, throwing a complete game in the Yankees' 6-2 win over the Atlanta Braves,...

Game 66: CC Ks 10 For 10th Straight W

Atlanta Braves 2 — New York Yankees 6   CC Sabathia goes the whole way in tonight’s 6-2 win over the Atlanta Braves for the Yankees 10th straight win.   CC Sabathia surrendered a lead-off triple to Michael Bourn that scored but that was just 1 of 2 runs he would surrender through tonight’s game. [...]

Yankees Game 66 Lineup: 06/18/12

The New York Yankees are back in the Bronx for a three-game set against the Atlanta Braves. C.C. Sabathia is on the mound for New York tonight. In his last outing vs. the Braves, the southpaw went 7 innings, allowing 4 earned runs on 10 hits, while striking out 6 for the win. Nick Swisher [...]

Yanks Streaking, Host Braves

When CC Sabathia takes the mound tonight against the Atlanta Braves, the Yankees will have a chance to do something they haven’t done in seven years – have a 10-game winning streak. That streak came in May of ’05, as Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez are the only mainstays from that team. If Interleague play [...]

Not-So-Rapid Reaction: Yankees 6, Braves 2

As the Yankees had strung together this incredible run of both wins and impressive starting pitching, it seemed the one holdout was CC Sabathia. In his last two starts, he had been tagged with the team’s only loss of the month (granted, he struck out 12 that night), and last time out, against the Atlanta Braves, he served up four runs on ten hits, only to be bailed out by a 6-run...

Jeter, Sabathia star as Yankees win 10th straight

NEW YORK -- The New York Yankees hadn't gotten a hit through four innings Monday against Atlanta Braves left-hander Mike Minor, a pitcher who had been tough on them the last time he faced them. And the Yankees also saw their own ace, CC Sabathia, fall behind the Braves on a pair of early runs, looking at first as though he might keep failing to meet the impressive level the...
