Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here... highlighting the big storyline. Because there's nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump. Overcoming a poor start by their rookie starter and an apparent injury to their first reliever, the Red Sox used an offensive explosion at the plate, and, most improbably, six innings of one-run ball from their bullpen to overtake the Seattle Mariners, 11-8, snapping a three-game losing streak in the process.      The Sox belted five homers -- including two in the third inning -- and collected 15 hits to overcome a shaky outing from Allen Webster, who allowed seven runs in just 2 1/3 innings.      David Ortiz, Dustin Pedroia, Mike Napoli, Jackie Bradley Jr. and Shane Victorino each homered for the Sox, with Ortiz collecting four hits.      Every member of the starting lineup each collected one hit with Pedroia knocking in three runs and Napoli and Brock Holt knocking in two apiece. CSNNE: Slugfest in Seattle That was a great comeback last night and a much needed one as the Sox avoid a four-game losing streak. Our bullpen was our saving grace, keeping it together after Allen Webster looked God awful and Alfredo Aceves appeared to get hurt. Breslow, Bailey, Tazawa, and Uehara combined for six innings and allowing just one run.  The offense also finally showed some power with five home runs mentioned above. Good to see the middle of the order flex their collective muscle. Ortiz led the way going 4-for-5 and he is now tied with Harold Baines for most hits by a DH with 1,688. He also did it in the Edgar Martinez's old house, the one person that will always be battling Papi in the "Greatest DH of All-Time" debate. And even with the Achilles issue earlier in the year, Ortiz is on a similar pace then Martinez was in 2000, which the Seattle DH finished with a ridiculous .324/37/145 at age 37. Ortiz, also 37, currently sits at .327/18/62 in 72 games.  Just another reminder of how filthy Ortiz is and how Edgar was.
