Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here... highlighting the big storyline. Because there's nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump. Gomes’ two-run home run with no outs in the ninth, scoring Daniel Nava, who had walked, gave the Sox the win and the sweep of the doubleheader. It was his third career walk-off home run, and his first since April 8, 2010, against the Cardinals while with the Reds. It was his fifth home run of the season, and second off a right-handed pitcher. It was his third career go-ahead home run off Joel Peralta, the most he has against any pitcher. In his last seven games, Gomes is batting .360, going 9-for-25, with two doubles, two home runs, and four RBI. CSNNE: Jonny on the Spot Last night appeared to be one of those nights that the Rays would steal one. It's been a recurring nightmare seeing a Rays played named Johnson abuse a Sox closer like he did Andrew Bailey's second pitch of the game. You just had a feeling that this was going to be one that the Rays would steal.  But go figure it was a former Ray that made sure that didn't happen.  Jonny Gomes came through and held on to the sweep and the only thing that was better than the home run was the celebration after. That punt of the helmet is a thing of beauty. I can watch this gif all day. The form, the release and the distance it gets. Man oh man. I'm using this as my first piece of evidence when talking about how awesome this team is.  But what has me just as giddy is the thorough domination of the Rays. They are 9-2 against Tampa thus far in 2013 and have a chance to clinch the season series tonight. The pitching has been solid against them as in the past three games against Tampa, holding them to one run each. The Rays have scored two runs or less in seven of the 11 games thus far and have batting a meager .148 at Fenway this season. .148 as a team. That my friends is domination. The Rays are no longer the thorn in the Sox side. If anything, it's the other way around as Tampa hovers around .500 while Boston has the best record in the American League. Now if we can only figure out those pesky Orioles....    Rest of the Links: Globe: Sox sweep doubleheader | Final thoughts after a long day at Fenway | Buchholz, Ross placed on DL | Herald: Gomes contributes with Monster effort | Buchholz to DL  |  Time to accept Aceves | CSNNE: Jonny on the spot | No win, but great start for Doubront | Buchholz, Ross sent to DL | WEEI: Buchholz: What's three extra days? | The road not taken | Farrell: Bailey remains Red Sox closer
