Last night the Reds beat the Mets 7-3 in Soprano Land on the strength of Bronson Arroyo and Jay Bruce’s first career inside the park home run. In Washington, Bryce Harper’s debut against the Yankees was a 1 for 4 night that ended with a 7-2 Nationals loss. And I completed my 5K without the need of a defibrillator at 36:00 on the dot. Definitely falls into the ‘needs improvement’ but when you factor in the heat and all I’m proud of my accomplishment. There’s baseball on all day today from lunchtime until late night. I’m headed to the pool to read more of the Last Natural book about who else, Bryce Harper. Saturday is the best day of the week! Enjoy it everyone.

Jay Bruce hits inside-the-park home run

Your browser does not support iframes. Jay Bruce is no stranger to the longball. With that said, his most recent one came in unusual fashion on Friday night as the 24-year old legged out an inside-the-parker to give the Reds a 1-0 at the time. His ball certainly didn't clear the fence, but it goes down as a homer in the box score nonetheless, no. 14 on the season to be exact...

Dustin Pedroia Looks to 'Blow Up' Reporter Who Led Bryce Harper to Respond 'That's a Clown Question, Bro'

Daily Brief: Baker-Lowe feud continues next week

Last Game The Reds won the game and swept the series against the Indians last night with a 5-12 victory. Surprising in a game with a line like this one that the starter, Mike Leake, couldn’t qualify for the win, having not put in adequate innings. At least he didn’t get a loss. Next Game The Reds head to New York to visit the Mets tonight. Bronson Arroyo (2-4, 3.79 ERA) takes...
