The Phillies made two roster moves Thursday, designating infielder Cody Ransom for assignment and promoting Matt Rizzotti to Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

Cody Ransom's Quest For the Mendoza Line is Over
With the news that the Yankees DFA'd Cody Ransom, it appears as if his much maligned quest for the Mendoza line has come to a conclusion. At no point in time this season has Ransom's average reached .201.
