Cody Ransom’s First Homer of Season Gives Arizona Diamondbacks Win in Series Finale
Cody Ransom sure picked the right time to hit his first home run in a Diamondbacks uniform.
With his club down 3-2 and eight outs away from being swept at home by the Dodgers, Ransom would hit a shot into the left field stands off LA starter Clayton Kershaw to give his team a one-run lead. It was the first homer at the big league level for the infielder since he hit one in July of...

Cody Ransom's Quest For the Mendoza Line is Over
With the news that the Yankees DFA'd Cody Ransom, it appears as if his much maligned quest for the Mendoza line has come to a conclusion. At no point in time this season has Ransom's average reached .201. His average peaked at .200 on two seperate occasions but he could never get over that hump. And to think, some jackasses thought the Yankees would be better with Ransom at third...

Ransom deserve a roster spot over Pena? I Don't Think So
Yesterday, Peter Abraham discussed what would happen with the Yankees roster when Jose Molina makes his return, a return that is not too far away. He could be back as soon as a few days from now.Basically Pete says that the Yanks will keep Ransom and have to decided whether to send down Francisco Cervelli or Ramiro Pena if they decide to keep three catchers, or even send both down...

Buzzkill
Talk about a buzzkill. The Yanks opened up their new stadium yesterday and got blown out. The underbelly of the Yankees bullpen stunk up the joint yesterday. Jose Veras and Damaso Marte, or Damaso Garcia as Bob Klapisch called him, gave up 9 runs in the 7th inning. Really Bob? Damaso Garcia? Anyway, things didn't go as planned yesterday, for me or the Yankees.I originally had...
