Joba to the Bullpen
I guess for the last month of the meaningless season its necessary and alright. However, Cash and Girardi seemed to leave the door open to him relieving next year. This is just stupid. I have no idea how they plan to pull this off. Going into the the offseason with only Wang as a sure thing to be in the rotation next year is a dangerous idea. The bullpen has been the lone bright...

I have been in Massachusetts this weekend with my Red Sox fan relatives and I can honestly say that the Red Sox have the single most brainwashed fanbase out of any team in any sport. Anyway, here is some minor league news from when I was gone:

Humberto Eager For Fresh Start
Humberto Sanchez. Remember him? The 24-year-old, 6-6 right hander was supposedly the crown jewel of Detroit's package for Gary Sheffield. With a nice 12-to-6 curveball to compliment his impressive plus-fastball, Sanchez, who grew up a Yankees fan in the South Bronx, was supposed to be a stud.
Unfortunately, Sanchez's promising start to '07 was cut short after discomfort...
