Joba Throws Off Half-Mound Today
Joba Chamberlain (who had to undergo Tommy John surgery last June) made 15 throws off a half-mound at the team’s minor-league complex, reports the AP. Chamberlain’s season ended in June, with a strained flexor muscle. He went 2-0 with a 2.83 ERA in 27 appearances for the Yankees last season. The Yankees are hopeful he [...]

Yanks' Joba Chamberlain throws off half-mound
New York Yankees reliever Joba Chamberlain has started throwing off a half-mound as part of a rehabilitation program after elbow ligament replacement surgery.
Chamberlain threw at the Yankees' minor league complex in Florida on Friday. The right-hander said the session on the 5-inch mound, which New York pitching coach Larry Rothschild and team vice president Billy Connors watched...

Joba throwing from flat ground
Joba Chamberlain‘s rehab appears to be going well following Tommy John Surgery last June. He gave an update on Twitter the other day and said that he is throwing from flat ground with Larry Rothschild and feels great.
Recovery from TJS typically takes 12-18 months, but some guys do come back in 11. From all of the updates that Joba has given it certainly sounds like he could...

Should the New York Mets Consider Making a Trade For Joba Chamberlain?
A lot of people look at the New York Mets and the New York Yankees as rivals, but I don’t. Clearly my point-of-view doesn’t matter in the big picture, but to me, the New York Yankees vs. the Boston Red Sox is a rivalry; the New York Mets vs. the Philadelphia Phillies is/was a rivalry. When the New York Mets and New York Yankees meet it’s more of a hype machine than anything...

Joba Chamberlain Represents Internal Upgrade For New York Yankees’ Starting Rotation
This will hardly be venturing into new waters, but it is time for me put my two cents into this brewing discussion/debate. Joba Chamberlain: The Starter vs. The Reliever has been the most polarizing issue that I’ve encountered as a New York Yankees fan. I was firmly entrenched in the camp that wanted Joba Chamberlain in the rotation. I know he sucked most of 2009, but he was...

Joba Chamberlain Expects Mid-April Return
Joba Chamberlain had Tommy John surgery in the beginning of June. Typically it requires a 12-18 month layoff before getting back to 100 percent which would mean it would be until at least June before he comes back.
However, Joba said he is already ahead of schedule in his rehab and expects a mid-April return. That is unlikely, but certainly possible. When recoveries happen so quickly...

Joba's arm post-surgery looks pretty gnarly
Yamma hamma! Yankees pitcher Joba Chamberlain has been keeping his Twitter followers apprised of all developments following his Tommy John surgery last Thursday, and as you can see, the results of the procedure leaves a person’s arm in not-so-appealing of a condition. Yikes. The above photo showing the condition of Chamberlain’s arm post surgery after [...]

New York Yankees Assign Joba Chamberlain to the 7th Inning
Joba Chamberlain is on pace to pitch 1st innings in 2017.
After a solid start to the season the Joe Girardi and the New York Yankees have declared that Joba Chamberlain will handle 7th inning duties. Even though Chamberlain was anointed the “7th inning role”, I’m pretty sure that Pedro Feliciano and/or Boone Logan will sneak in there for some appearances against tough lefties...
