Major League Baseball has suspended two minor league players.
MLB has suspended catcher Cody Stanley and pitcher Aaron Thompson for 50 games. Each were suspended for violating the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.

Ex-Pirates pitcher, minor league catcher suspended
A pitcher who made his major league debut with Pittsburgh last season and a minor league catcher have been suspended for 50 games each because of drug violations.
Left-hander Aaron Thompson of the Minnesota organization and Cody Stanley of the St. Louis system were penalized Tuesday under baseball's minor league drug program.

Minnesota Twins general manager says minor league pitcher Aaron Thompson is facing a 50-game suspension for violating baseball's drug policy.
