The Astros announced to reporters, including Mark Berman of Fox 26, that they have signed right-hander Bryan Garcia to a minor league deal with an invitation to major league Spring Training.
Bryan Garcia had the best outing of his career Monday night and lead the Tigers to an 11th win in 13 games. The Detroit Tigers continued their winning ways late Monday night (technically, the game ended after midnight making it Tuesday morning over here on the East Coast, but who’s keeping track?).
Javier Baez hit a two-run homer and Bryan Garcia, recalled from the minor leagues earlier in the day, put together a quality start as the Detroit Tigers defeated host Seattle 4-3 Monday night, ending the Mariners' bid to host a wild-card playoff series.
Seriously, so many walks. The Tigers have probably adjusted pretty well to losing series this year, where it seems like every new competitor faced, the Tigers manage to eke out one win in a series, while losing the rest.
Bryan Garcia gave the Tigers some decent innings, they dinged up Alek Manoah, and the bullpen did the rest. Key two-out hits and another dominant performance from all six relievers deployed out of the Tigers’ bullpen carried them over the Blue Jays 4-2 on Friday night in Toronto.
This one kept us on our toes. The Tigers have gotten very watchable of late. They’ve been winning games, they have genuinely watchable players, making highlight-reel-worthy plays.
