According to John Perrotto, the Pittsburgh Pirates have signed outfielder Darren Ford to a minor league deal. Ford has just 16 plate appearances in the majors, with four hits and no extra base hits. The 27-year-old hit for a .273/.326/.385 line in 304 at-bats last year in Triple-A. He had 26 steals in 40 attempts while in Triple-A last year.
