Reds top prospects update: Donnie Joseph can pitch a little
Billy Hamilton has cooled off a bit, but he still has 40 stolen bases and 37 runs in 41 games. Tony Cingrani and Donnie Joseph are throwing the baseball very well. Joseph looks like a guy who could see a little time in Cincinnati later this year, as he is looking nearly unhittable so far. Other than that there's not a whole lot about which to write home. An honorable mention...

Perez Leads Wahoos Over Suns
Donnie Joseph shot up the Reds ladder after he was drafted out of the University of Houston. He reached AA by the end of his second season and was named Cincinnati's minor league pitcher of the year. Last year he struggled pitching the entire season against more advanced hitters. This season he's found a solution for Southern League batters while emerging as a dominant AA closer.

Wahoos Lose in 13
Southpaw reliever Donnie Joseph was a top prospect in the Reds system before a disappointing 2011 season. He hasn't allowed a run in six 2012 appearances at AA Pensacola.

State of the Farm – Relief Pitching
Donnie Joseph leads the way with this group of players now that Brad Boxberger is with a new team. Joseph has some of the best stuff of the relievers with an above-average fastball and a plus slider from the left side. He had put up dominating numbers coming up until the 2011 season when his inability to control his slider finally caught up with him. The pitch has very good movement...

Brad Boxberger – RHP – Top Velocity (95.2 MPH)
Boxberger has worked with three pitches so far. From the 1st base view, we can see that the pitches all look very similar until...
