The Cincinnati Reds signed righthander Jose Arredondo to a two-year contract.
The deal allows the sides to avoid arbitration.
Arredondo, 27, made a career-high 53 appearances with the Reds last season, going 4-4 with a 3.23 ERA.
He has a 16-9 career record in 148 appearances, all in relief.
