Rangers ink veteran catcher Hill
The Texas Rangers added some catching insurance by signing veteran Koyie Hill to a minor-league contract.
Hill was assigned to Round Rock and will handle the duties that Luis Martinez had. Martinez was called up by the Rangers to take the roster spot of the injured Mike Napoli. Napoli is on the disabled list with a strained quad.

Koyie Hill DFA’d, Ian Stewart to DL, Welington Castillo & Luis Valbuena re-called
The Cubs have made a few transactions and one of them might spell the end to his career. Koyie Hill was let go by the Cubs this past offseason and after about a dozen catchers were injured on the team they were forced to bring him back. Now he's gone and he's probably not good enough to continue playing at the MLB level. We should take a minute to remember his career.

Cardinals Invite Former Chicago Cubs Catcher Koyie Hill To Spring Training
One of the first moves St. Louis Cardinals general manager John Mozeliak made prior to the team's 2011 World Series Championship season was a curious move among those who enjoy, or hate, the Chicago Cubs rivalry.
Prior to last season the Cardinals signed Ryan Theriot to a one year contract to play shortstop and ultimately come off the bench as a pinch-hitter in the post-season...

Players A to Z, Koyie Hill
Koyie Hill catches in a backup capacity for the Chicago Cubs. Hill owns an extremely poor major league hitting record, with both his career OBP and slugging percentage below .300. With hitting like that one would expect him to be a defensive wizard. That wizardry turns out to be tough to detect, and both Baseball Reference and FanGraphs rate his defense poorly. He’s slightly...
