Soto Makes MLB Debut
Neftali Soto made an appearance late in the Reds game at Philadelphia for his MLB debut. The plan is for him to stay with the Reds for the remainder of the weekend before Johnny Cueto comes off the DL Monday to take his spot on the active roster. Tony Cingrani did a good job replacing Cueto for six turns through the rotation and will return to Louisville to continue developing as a starter.

Soto working hard to impress Reds at 1B
SALT RIVER AT TALKING STICK, AZ. Neftali Soto probably sees Joey Votto in his dreams and wonders, What am I going to do? Where am I going to play?Maybe he should change jobs. Soccer? Football? Some quotes and some notes
-"I’ve had a couple of spring training slow starts. I think this is just one of them. Hopefully, a couple days and I’ll be able to get back into it full steam. I’m not concerned. Usually every spring training, there’s about a week, 10 days, where I’m just sitting around ready to pitch in a game, kind of wasting bullets." -Closer Ryan Madson on his sore elbow...
Reds protect six guys
In the continuing effort to catch the heck up on what’s been going on with the team, I’ve copied and pasted the lead from a recent story on Reds.com:
CINCINNATI — Prior to Friday’s deadline to protect players from the Rule 5 Draft, the Reds added six to their 40-man roster.
Added were infielders Neftali Soto, Didi Gregorius, Donald Lutz and Henry Rodriguez and … [visit...
